Today Greg and I mainly wandered the narrow and windy streets in Santiago and I got my shopping fix!
We tried to attend the “Pilgrim’s Mass” at the Cathedral at noon, but we were a little late and couldn’t get a seat. I’m glad we attended the mass last night, which gave us a more intimate experience (and exciting with the But a…), even though it wasn’t the official pilgrim’s service.
Laurie and Chris invited us to a special dinner at Bierzo Enxebre for our last night in Santiago. Our old friends Laurie, Chris, Leslie, Sandy were there, along with a few new friends – including a pastor from St. Paul of all places! (Rich?). Greg and I split a really nice salad and I had grilled pork with potatoes. It was a great way to end our trip. We are so grateful that we met Laurie and Chris early on, as they became our “Camino Family” and introduced us to other peregrinos along the way!
